Doctors: the nearest Surgery is the North Curry Health Centre tel. 01823 490505. The nearest A&E is at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton.

Post is collected from two post boxes in the village, located opposite Bickenhall Lane in Village Road and at the bottom of Station Road in the wall by Grey Lodge. Collection time 15.45 on weekdays and 09.00 on Saturday. The nearest Post Office is in Curry Mallet, Tel. 01823 480236.

Refuse is collected on a Wednesday, recycling bins every week, non-recycling every other. For more information see

Buses: At present the only scheduled bus service to and from Taunton running through the village is the ‘college run’ No. 10C on weekdays during term-time only at 08.12 from the Hatch Inn, leaving Taunton Somerset College at 16.30.This is operated by Hatch Green Coaches Tel. 01823 480338.

The nearest alternative regular bus service to Taunton is the No. 54 Taunton to Yeovil service, which stops at The Nags Head, Thornfalcon and Canal Inn, Wrantage, operated by First Bus Tel. 0345 602 0121.; or

The Slinky accessible bus service operated in the Chard and Ilminster area by South Somerset Association for Voluntary & Community Action Ltd is available at 24hrs notice for people who have no access to public transport and do not have their own.  Tel. 01935 477399;

Hatch Beauchamp Produce Market with community cafe is held in the village hall the second Saturday of every month, 10.00 to 12.00.
