Train Operators are proposing a wholesale closure of many ticket offices. Not only are our local Taunton and Crewkerne stations affected, but even the main GWR terminus at Paddington will see ticket windows closed. You have until Wednesday (26th) to have your say in the consultation

Road

A couple of weeks ago the Secretary of State for Transport Mark Harper 'redetermined' the A303 Stonehenge Tunnel proposals and made a decision to approve the National Highways plan. This followed the Planning Inspectorate's original recommendation to refuse the proposal and the previous Secretary of State's approval being quashed by the High Court.
