Hatch Car Scheme on the road again

Earlier this month, having consulted with members and established safety measures, the car scheme reopened for essential journeys. For the time being there are only a couple of drivers, but if demand picks up others are standing by to help out.

Costs have also been reduced thanks to a grant from the Parish Council agreed earlier in the year (before lockdown in fact). This means a return journey to Taunton or Ilminster is only £5 for the next 100 bookings, similar reductions for other destinations.

Bus pass holders get half price fares (outside peaks)

As ever, to book a journey, the number to call is 07942 231145. You can sign up as a member at no cost, but as part of the new measures you will be asked to sign a declaration that you understand the required precautions, risks and that you do not have any Covid-19 symptoms when travelling.
